Organization and Structure Committee Charge

Identify the optimal structure and relationship of, and between, both state and local public health agencies in order to achieve the public health mission, including (but not limited to) recommendations regarding:

1. An incentive approach to creating multi-county health departments and public health authorities;
2. The optimal location of environmental health services within state government;
3. Changes necessary at the Division of Public Health to optimally support local public health agencies;
4. Legislation and rules necessary to support recommended changes;
5. Resources necessary for achieving and sustaining recommended changes; and
6. Key partners necessary to support and sustain recommended changes.
